MAKE THE PLEDGE
Pledge to make a difference: Pastor or Believer
I am united together with others across our great State of California under the name and authority of Jesus Christ. As Ephesians 2:8-9 says, God calls us to share the Good News that eternal life is a gift from God offered to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ.
Jesus calls us to love all people. We all need God's mercy and grace, and we must extend that grace to one another. However, that grace does not come at the expense of truth. We cannot be silent concerning the politics, ideologies, and mandates that are contrary to biblical truth and contrary to who God says we are as His children.
God commands us to be salt and light in a world of darkness. Christ calls His church to preserve the world from the corruption of sin. If we fail in this mission, Jesus warns in Matthew 5:13 that we are "no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet." In Ephesians 5:11, Paul urges us to "take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them."
The current political condition of California has all but silenced most churches throughout the state. The body of Christ in California has stayed silent in matters of politics, ideologies, and mandates. Not speaking is itself speaking; not acting is itself acting. Today I say, “No more.” Today I will use my voice, platform, and influence to speak the truth of God’s Word, in love, even if it means some may misunderstand the reasons this is necessary.
I believe redemption is the main reason Jesus went to the cross. I believe He is in the business of redeeming humanity. I believe California can and will be redeemed and therefore I pledge the following:
I will diligently pray for California to return to God.
I will diligently pray for conservative political reform across every elected office in California.
I will encourage my church members to vote and become involved so that we never lose our First Amendment rights.
I will not be afraid. I will trust the Lord, who goes before me to fight my battles.
I will remember that All things are possible with God, and nothing is too hard for Him.
I will support the mission of Redeem California and lend my name to their organization as we unite to bring change to our great State of California.
