Do You Believe?
This mission is an act of faith. For a very long time now, God has dropped things into my spirit as a seed and waited to see my response. Shortly after the seed was received, God would then download the blueprint for me to produce what he showed me. The reason this has occurred has always been to fulfill a need in the natural realm.
The first time this happened was in 2003. At that time, I was partners in a sports nutrition franchise in Fresno, CA. There were many new nutrition’s stores coming on the scene and I wanted to stand out from the rest and make a mark to get our name, Max Muscle, more well known. One day, as I was taking a shower, a thought came to me to produce a Body Building Show, and right away, the download began to come. I quickly got out of the shower, found my notebook, and began writing everything the Lord had given to me. You might be thinking that a body building show, to promote a business based in vanity is a very “worldly” thing, and you would be right. However, the gift that I have works in every situation, and at that time in my life, God was teaching me, not only how my gift worked, but also how to step out in faith and execute the vision. A few short months later, I produced the first Max Muscle Fresno, NPC Body Building Show! It was a huge success from a girl who received her directions from God. This show continued for four years, and I opened two additional Max Muscle Sports Nutrition locations as a result.
I have since left the fitness world to pursue a life of ministry. I remember when I was preparing to open my private practice as a Christian-based therapist, the Lord spoke to me and said, “you use to help people build their physical bodies, now I will use you to help build their spiritual bodies.” It is humbling to know that God would use me in any capacity, as I have not always served him well. Thank goodness that God looks beyond the outward appearance and sees only the heart of a person. He knew me so much better than I knew myself. Over the last few years, I have been trying to catch up.
I have started two non-profit companies to meet ministry needs in my city. Again, both originated out of a need that the Lord revealed. After starting my last business, Last Arrow Ministries, Inc., I really believed that I was done “starting” things. After all, I have a full-time therapy practice, and Last Arrow Ministries was sure to take up what little time I had left. I really believed, Last Arrow was the last arrow in my quiver. I had no idea what God was about to lay on my heart.
Redeem California, was not my idea, which is why I believe in its mission with all my heart! If it was my idea, there would be room for error, fear and doubt. I am not gonna lie, in the first two weeks of this revelation, I went to the Lord several times for confirmation. The enormity of the call felt enormous. I knew I would need resources, support staff and favor. I would need supernatural favor and a whole lot of courage. Like all the other times God has spoken a word into my spirit to build a business, this one also came out of need.
The need as I see it, is two-fold.
As a licensed therapist, I have seen people of all ages, backgrounds, and demographics. The youngest child I have seen was 4 years old and the oldest was 82 years old. The things that people go through would amaze you. There is so much need, I do my best to see as many people in a week as I can, but still, the need is so much greater and multiplying daily. I began to feel overwhelmed by the number of issues that people faced and thought to myself, how is it possible to help all the people who need help. It has been a very discouraging reality, and for some time now. Besides going to work every day and helping the people God brought into my business, I began to pray Luke 4:18 over my city, state and nation.
“…Preach the gospel to the poor,
…heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind
to set at liberty them that are oppressed”
This verse was preached the night I rededicated my life to Jesus, I believe this is God’s desire and He will do just what this verse declares if we will pray it, believe Him, and do our part.
The other need I felt demanding a solution is the absence of the body of Christ in the land. When satanist clubs can hold meetings at schools in after school programs, when law makers force Christians to abide by laws that are contrary to the word of God, when we are forced to give up freedoms that were entrusted to us by the United States Constitution, when our children, who go to public schools no longer know who they are, because ungodly men and women create and dictate the laws of the land, there is a major problem. We have gone from living in liberty and freedom and have moved into living in a wicked and evil regime. If we do not unite together and stand on the word of God in this time, we will be responsible for what will come upon our families and loved ones. Our silence will convict us and we may lose the harvest of the last day because we failed to believe that God is the God of the impossible.
Redeem California is a call to action. It is a call to the body of Christ to put your faith into action. What do you believe?
Do you believe God still does miracles?
Do you believe God is still reaching for souls?
Do you believe that God still triumphs over evil?
Do you believe that the earth belongs to God?
Do you believe that with God, all things are possible?
What if all of that is true? What if God was just waiting for us to believe him and take him at his word? What could we accomplish if we functioned in unity?
