Light Overcomes Darkness

I realize that there are many who believe that California can never be redeemed. After all California is a Democratic state and has been a Democratic state for the last 52 years.

But what if we stopped looking at it from a political perspective? What if we looked at it from the perspective of evil versus good? Clearly it looks as if evil is swallowing up the good. But why is that?

The people of God, have always had the power to defeat evil, or put another way, they have had the power to defeat their enemies. The only problem is, perhaps the people of God don’t really believe that the power of God in them is enough to win the battle. We have remained silent for the most part. We have not engaged.

If evil is darkness and the Spirit of God is light, then we who have the spirit of God can defeat the darkness. It’s a proven scientific fact. Darkness cannot exist in the presence of light.

Redeem California is a call to believe. It is a call to remember who you are in Christ. It is a call to shine the light with in you to the darkness around you. If all of us could just answer that call, the power of God in us and through us will do the work needed to redeem our cities and our state. But we have to do our part. We cannot be full of anger and division. It is God and God alone who changes the hearts of men and women.

If you are a believer and a follower of Christ, I’m asking you to put your faith in God and not people. Begin to pray, begin to ask God to let you make a difference in the lives of the people you influence. Let’s start there and see what is possible.
